In line with our policy of promoting standards of excellence of photography within the club, the club have again this year held the Downend Diploma. Several members took the opportunity to enter a panel of 5 prints and have them assessed by our good friend John Long ARPS of both the RPS and Kingswood Camera Club.

John offered valuable critique and advice to members with respect to how the RPS LRPS honours scheme worked, and what criteria were being looked for. John awarded 5 Downend Camera Club Diplomas to members where he felt they were demonstrating skills and promise apropriate towards working towards the LRPS. Congratulations to the successful members;- Mike Couzins, Laura Sears, Wendy Lockyer, Kim Pickup, and Mark Williams.
